The Origin of Trinity

The name “Trinity” was adopted after very careful consideration. The word is derived from the old French “Trinite” and

the Latin “Trinitatem”, signifying “Trine,” which means threefold, or triple; a triad or set of three; or threefold.

Many instances could be quoted of the association between the word itself and that sense of threefoldness, or three units,

acting as one in complete harmony which permeates the entire masonic system.
